Past:
Growing up in a special time when a lot of new music genres where founded, my favourite genre is not limited to just one.
Swingbeat, hip house, deep house, R&B and Rap are all genres I love to rock on.
Started in 1986 with vinyl at a youth centre. I got inspired by DJs who could mix records on the radio and do this ‘live’..
Also in one of our local discotheques a DJ called Ruud van Rijen was the resident DJ and a real good mixer. His National Radio yearmixes can still be found on Soundcloud.
Later he became founder and producer of the worldwide Eurodisco group Twenty4Seven.
They also organised regional DJ contests with famous DJs in the jury. In 1989 I became 2nd in this contest.
Untill 1998 I have been a resident DJ in several clubs and bars.
Present:
Started digital DJing in 2018 with my first controller and Spotify. I fell in love with mixing again after 20 years retirement. Most sessions are in a theme but I like to mix and be creative with unique music combinations.
In 2024 I have started to build a music video collection and mix them live know on several streaming platforms like Twitch, Mixcloud, Kick and Tiktok.
Also back in doing private parties and organising Club1987 Dance events with video screens as a big eyecatcher.
Future:
Will work again as a regular DJ doing video sets in a club (start April 2025).
Expand organising Club1987 Dance events and collab with VDJ’s.
Dream: with big screens doing a 90s set mixing videos live on a festival.
